Our Mission Statement

Where would you spend eternity if you were to die right now?

The bible makes some very things clear!

I.  Man in his natural state is lost.

1.  All men are sinners (Romans 3:23 (NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God)

2. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23a (NIV) For the wages of sin is death)

3.  That means that sinners still in their sin are going to hell (2 Peter 2:4-6 (NIV) 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;
6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly)

4.  God sent Jesus to die for your sins. (Romans 5:8-9 (NIV) 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!)

II. Salvation is offered by Jesus to you for free.

You can have your sins covered by Jesus’ Blood if you are willing follow his will.

     A.  Admit that you are a sinner lost and going to hell.

     B.  Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died to save you and is now resurrected and waiting on your decision in heaven. (Acts 16:31-33 (NIV) 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.)

     C.  Covenant (that is promise or commit) to following Jesus. (Matthew 7:21 (NIV) "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.) This scripture makes it clear that Jesus demands that we do more than just believe in who he is.  We must do the will of God. Here is the short list of that will.

    1.   Confess who Jesus is to others. (Matthew 10:32-33 (NIV) 32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.)

    2.   Repent and be Baptized. (Acts 2:38 (NIV) Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.)

    3.   Grow towards Perfection.  Did you say perfection? (2b Corinthians 13:11 (NIV) Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.)

You may say, “How can I ever be saved? I will never be perfect!”  That is right we will never be perfect this side of heaven.  The good news is that Jesus gives his righteousness to us to cover our imperfection. (2 Corinthians 5:19-21 (NLT) 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.)

III.  So Where would you spend eternity if you were to die now?

On the Road to Heaven.

Christ describes the salvation process as a new birth. If you know where you are in the birth process that is outlined above and you are working on the next step then you are on the right road. If you need help with the next step we will be more than happy to help you.  We keep our baptistery warm for every service of the church and are ready to study with you at any time 24-7.

On the Road to Hell.

If on the other hand you are in rebellion with any of the things that Jesus ask you to do, as a non-repentant sinner or as a non-believer then you are on your way to hell. Jesus wants to save you.  Let us teach you and help you overcome your unbelief or rebellion.

Deceived and in denial but on the road to hell.

Many people say that they are on their way to heaven yet live like they are on the road to hell. Mosses asked the question (Exodus 32:26 (KJV)  Who is on the LORD'S side?”  If you are not living for Jesus you are not on the Lord’s side and you are not on your way to heaven.  Remember Jesus said that just saying it is not enough (Matthew 7:21).  If you are not living for Christ start your return home today.  We will help you start the journey home. (Luke 15:11-32)

Please print this page and share the good news with your lost friends.  God has called you to be His Ambassadors to the Lost (2 Cornthians 5:19-21).
